Up to £500

Same OZEV grants as England. No separate Welsh Government home charger grant currently. Welsh planning rules differ from England so check before installing.

Northern Ireland
Up to £500
per chargepoint socket

Same OZEV grants as the rest of the UK. One important difference: all installations must be notified to NIE Networks. No separate NI-specific home charger grant.

All grants must be applied for before installation begins. This applies to every scheme on this page without exception. If your installer starts work before you receive a grant offer letter, you will not be able to claim. Always confirm this with your installer before anything else.

The grant is not paid to you directly. Your OZEV-approved installer claims it on your behalf and deducts the amount from your final invoice. You pay the remainder. You cannot use an installer who is not on the OZEV approved list and still claim a grant.

All current OZEV grants run until 31 March 2027. OZEV has confirmed this is the final year of the current scheme structure. If you are eligible, do not wait.
